The Studio

Stiùidio Ostaig

Stiùidio Ostaig is a multi-room recording, rehearsal and creative space on the dramatically beautiful Isle of Skye, on the west coast of Scotland. Surrounded by incredible scenery and situated in one of Scotland’s cultural hotbeds, it is the ideal place for your audio project - whatever it is.

LIVE.jpeg

live room

We have a large flexible live room around 40m2, with great acoustics and moveable screens. This is an excellent space for recording small groups, or for capturing the full size of a drum kit, the Highland bagpipes, or even a choir.

control room

The control room upstairs is a well controlled space overlooking the live room through a soundproof window. We have industry standard DAWs such as Pro Tools, Logic and Ableton Live.

booth

The newest addition to the studio is our booth, custom built within the large live room. Fully treated and isolated from the main space, the booth is a dry and neutral space.

additional spaces

Our studio is now based around the Dante networking protocol, which opens up many other parts of the building - such as the famous Talla Mhòr ceilidh hall - to being used as live recording spaces, different sounding isolation rooms or even as reverb chambers.
